Caroline Lane

Career History

Caroline founded AuditStar in 2002 following senior roles in international media consultancy and advertising agencies in London, working globally. Caroline’s experience stems from 30+ years working in media agency, auditing and consultancy client leadership roles, in a global, regional and local capacity.

Role at Auditstar

As Managing Director she oversees Client Operations and Business Development. Caroline is responsible for leading the AuditStarGlobal Network and managing all initiatives to drive excellence in processes, outputs and client satisfaction.

Caroline brings in-depth experience of client and media agency relationships, pitch management and agency operating models. She has a unique perspective on the role media can play in driving business outcomes.

Personal Interests
Caroline is truly multicultural and is fluent in English (native), French, Spanish and Portuguese with working knowledge of Italian.

Away from AuditStar, Caroline is interested in the arts and travelling, and a keen scuba diver.

Andy Lane

Career History

Andy originally trained as an engineer and then moved into business. He has held various roles in line management and corporate finance with some large companies such as Ford, ADT and TI Group and run small businesses in various sectors such as packaging and double glazing. He currently divides his time between AuditStar and his corporate finance business, Aurora M&A Solutions, which offers valuations and the mandated sale of SMEs.

Role at AuditStar

As Finance Director he is responsible for all aspects of AuditStar’s commercial activities. He draws upon his experience of industrial marketing and company analysis to contribute to broader aspects of AuditStar’s offering as required.

Personal Interests

Andy is fluent in English (native) with some French and a little Spanish. He is an enthusiastic amateur photographer, is interested in travelling and a keen scuba diver and sailor.

Amanda Poole

Career History

Amanda is an Associate Fellow of Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. She is a marketing consultant who specialises in strategic evaluation, market entry assessment and business plans. In her role at Saïd Business School Amanda is Programme Director of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses UK Programme.

Role at AuditStar

Amanda leads on all aspects of team development from recruitment and training needs, to individual reviews and team away days.

She works closely with Caroline and Andy to ensure the team has the necessary skill sets and support to deliver the high value work our clients expect and deserve. Amanda applies her experience in business growth planning and business coaching to help the AuditStar team develop.

Her role is to make sure the team adapts to the future requirements of our clients.

Personal Interests

Amanda spent her early childhood in Iraq and South America but has returned to her roots in North London.

Away from AuditStar, she is a trustee of a number of charities and a keen advocate of the need for equality, diversity and social action.

Her idea of relaxing is a good walk, a good book or a good pub quiz.

Yolanda Garcia

Career History

Yolanda is a senior communication and media expert with in-depth knowledge of relationships between advertisers, media and media agencies in Spain.

Yolanda’s experience stems from over 30 years working in advertising and media agencies for international clients, communication consultancies and media auditing.

Role at AuditStar

Yolanda joined AuditStar Spain in 2005 and as Associate Director she is responsible for leading and managing our Spanish operation.

Her client-first approach means she is focussed on driving excellence and constantly looking for new ways of providing solutions that create value.

Personal Interests

Yolanda is fluent in Spanish (native) and English.

She is interested in the psychology and complexity of people. She also loves dogs, is passionate about cars and enjoys painting.

Michael Haas

Career History

Michael is a senior and experienced media professional, with over 25 years experience in the media industry in Germany, and is responsible both for domestic German and international clients.

He has spent his career in a range of different media agencies with board level responsibilities and as a media consultant and auditor, working both independently and as a member of AuditStar.

Role at AuditStar

Michael is based in Germany and is responsible for the development of AuditStar Germany’s business and contributes to the wider company’s strategic and analytical thinking.

As Geschäftsführer he is responsible for building partnerships with key clients based in Germany and the DACH region, operating both domestically and overseas, with a focus on ensuring media investment accountability and ROI.

Personal Interests

Away from AuditStar, Michael is interested in sailing, long walks with his dog as well as serving a delicious meal to family & friends. Michael was educated in Germany and speaks German (native). He is fluent in English.
